Sharlene Alexander is a member of the Fayette County (GA) board of elections. In June 2024, Alexander petitioned the Georgia State Election Board to institute a rule that would require poll workers to hand count all ballots at precinct locations. Hand counting of ballots is a common policy pushed for by election deniers in Georgia and elsewhere.
